Detail

This Leopold I Beach live webcam looks out over the sandy shores of De Panne, a coastal town in West Flanders, Belgium. Watch the vast and wide De Panne Beach Koksijde, which provides excellent facilities, activities, and play areas for children. The Statue of Pier Kloeff, a symbol of local fishermen, stands on the beach's left side. Next to it, in the promenade Leopold I esplanade, stands the grand Leopold I memorial, which includes a monumental statue of Leopold I, the first King of the Belgians. The monument is located on the first spot where King Leopold I stepped on Belgian soil in 1831. On the beach in front of the monument stands Touching To Sea You Through Our Extremities, a massive bronze octopus that appears to be emerging from the sand. The camera is provided by Leopold 1 Brasserie Restaurant, whose position is indicated on the map below.
